Slow internet connection

I was under the impression I am signing a one year contract with them for uncapped internet but after a year when I wanted to cancel my contract because of slow internet they informed me I can't because I am in a 2 year contract. My internet is so slow I can't even open Google. I have witnesses that can confirm that I repeatedly asked for a one year contract.
