My Telkom account was suspended on Monday due to a late payment - my fault obviously. The payment was done about an hour before I got the SMS that the line was suspended. The voice service was restored early Tuesday but the DSL remained suspended.
A call to 10210 on Tuesday evening revealed this, and the fact that it could not be activated by tech services as it was an account suspension. On Wednesday I insisted on a call reference. From there a daily call to 10210 resulted in getting passed from person to person with no resolution. On Saturday I got an SMS indicating that the call was resolved, despite the SUSPENDED state still being active.
I went in to the Centurion Branch, and was referred to the self-help desk and the 10210 service again, after which I left. I returned to the Branch later the day and insisted that the problem be escalated.
This is where Nozuko stepped in. She tried contacting some people, but resorted to sending a mail to one of her contacts, which had the problem resolved just before 6PM.
I had a call from her this morning (Sunday), enquiring if it was resolved - first time ever for me.
