I had two contracts with Vodacom, a voice and data contract. Service was so bad that I let my voice contract expire and extended my data contract with the ongoing promise of a tower going up in my area (something that I had heard for the last 3 years) and a confirmation that I would receive a booster attached to my house (approx. 3 months ago). I renewed my contract on this basis only to find that there is no tower in Westlake, no booster to fix my data problem, and to top it all they have now charged me an additional R270 for excess data in December 2013. I have 3.93gb left so cant quite reconcile their calcs. I logged a call last week vod.53-04u21-1nxsi and have not heard a peep. Went into Vodacom today in Tygervalley to be told they cant assist. Must I really waste half of my day sorting out Vodacom's ineptitude! I even tried to cancel my contract but once you enter in a contract with these corporate giants you are faced by over paid lawyers defending poor service. I sincerely hope that someone from Vodacom is paid to protect Vodacom's name in the public arena and has the responsibility to sort out this mess.
