Vodacom
Data Expiry Recycled SIM

Telecommunications

The reason I am on HelloPeter is because after writing my whole long story on Vodacom's website, it didn't want to submit the email and said "Hang on". I didn't want to hang on and clicked on send, but it wouldn't allow me. Then the whole email disappeared, so here we go again. Firstly, I am on a VIP package which gives me monthly data. The data for the next month, always gets used up before the data for the current month which means this month's data always expires. It says "you have 500mb expiring on 30/11 and 300mb expiring on 31/12", when I check again the next month's data is even less, while the current month stays the same and then expires. It hardly seems fair. Secondly, I had a SIM at home which I used for my dongle. I didn't use it for 3 - 4 months and now all of a sudden it has been recycled. I was on my internet banking buying it data when I thought I would just phone to check. It was even Rica'd. How do you recycle someone's Rica'd SIM without warning? Now I have to go back to VCom to buy and Rica a new SIM? And as far as I know sim cards can be recycled if they haven't been used for a long period, not 4 months?
