It takes 2 months to have a fixed line put in

I visited the Telkom branch and signed up to have a fixed line put in at my residence at 2 Squirrel Close, Stellenbosch. Three weeks later, they phoned me and told me a technician can only come out four weeks later. That is unacceptable!! Why should it take them two months to put in a fixed line?!
