On 25th October 2012 I purchased the Blackberry Bold 9900 from Truworths, however it is an MTN handset and has only ever had an MTN SIM Card in it, as I am aware that the warranty would be void if another service providers SIM Card is used with the phone.

On Friday 1 February 2013 I went to the Strand Street MTN to have the phone sent away to be repaired or replaced as it has numerous probelms. The consultant I dealt with was Cecilia, was abrupt, and highly unprofessional. I was told the phone would be sent away and I would be given a refurbished phone as I could NOT have the phone replaced as it was "out of our 7day warranty".

I produced the Terms and Conditions to her, which clearly state "In the event that your device has a manufacturing defect and communicated within 6months from the date of purchase, the complete unit can be returned for a refund or REPLACEMENT or repair."

She shurgged her shoulders and I must got to Truworths to have them send it away to head office then as she wouldn't. This level of 'Customer Service' is a joke, the other customers instore at the time, received the same abrupt and unprofessional service from Cecilia and her fellow agent
