R26000 penalty for a contract that ALREADY expired

In March 2013 I received the worst service from Vodacom and wanted to cancel my contract! They said I will have to pay a premature cancellation fee to be able to stop my contract. They sent me a premature cancellation quotation of more than R26000... I'm on the most expensive contract and really wanted to get out of it but wasn't willing to pay that kind of money. The quote was sent on the 25th of March! But when I inquired about an upgrade and when my contract will end last week they informed me that my contract already expired on the 7th of March 2013!!! I'm furious! They kept me on the contract and wanted me to pay R26000 for a contract that already expired!!! I phoned them once again and they sent me from person to another and said they will give me an answer yesterday and once again they didn't phone me! I don't even want to know how many people they cheat like this! This is after they did an upgrade in April without my permission as well!!! So if you want to cancel your contract make sure that they don't fool you like they did with me! They kept me under false terms as a client and still continue with their poor service!!!
