Empty promises

I have been promised an SD Card as my free gift from the mall@reds branch on the 1st of December 2013. According to the rep they didn't have stock of the item and made a note to phone me as soon as possible. After naively asking if they will phone me I accepted the reps promise. It is now nearly a full month and almost a new year later and still no phone call or any communication of any kind. How questionable is a company that makes empty promises but wants as much business out of you as possible for as little effort in customer satisfaction as possible. Get your staff sorted or lose my business.
