Someone opened a second line on my MTN data account, after reporting the via MTN Sandton and various call centre operators (spending at least 30 minutes and 30 calls later0 just trying to speak the a person and sending the documentation thru 3 times. After 2 weeks I have been told that my data line has been blocked and I should call the call centre to ask them to reinstate. After trying to get hold of someone in the call centre is almost impossible, You dial 0821808 and half the time you are disconnected after the selection. If you do manage to get past to the second selection, when you press 3 for call centre you are disconnected. If you try any of the other options, most of the time you are disconnected, or if you do reach someone, they can't help you as they are in the 'wrong department', can't transfer you and you are told to phone back perhaps later as they are experiencing high volumes of calls... this is a call centre and MTN is the largest provider on the continent as yet they can't help a local...

Talking to varius people to have MTN accounts this seems to be a common problem, not being able to get through to the call centre.
