Charged for repairs under warranty

I took my tablet phone to cell c for repairs, i took it on contact on August the phone was delivered to me on the 16 of august and i start experiencing some head phone faults. i couldn't use the headphones anymore it was always on speaker. and i phone them after i realize that the phone came with 1 year warranty but now i receive message telling me to give the repairs go ahead on fixing it but with a payment of 222.30. can someone explain to me the reason to pay for repairs while phone is still under warranty?
