Warranty rejected and Unnecessary repairs done

I took my Nokia E7 handset for repair after it stopped charging due to an internal problem with the USB and the unit is still within its warranty period. I asked them also to quote me to replace the camera screen as they have to open the handset and the screen has been cracked for almost a year. There were no other problems with the phone.
I received a call from Nashua informing me that due to the physical damage to the phone the warranty was rejected. I asked the what I have done to cause the USB to stop working other than inserting and removing the charger from the phone. The normal operation of the phone requires it to be charged daily. I received a quote for R1516.63 for the repairs. I could not get a detailed repair quote from Nashua after asking for one. I gave them go ahead for the repairs as I needed my cell back. I also requested to have all my old parts returned to me as I paid for the repairs and the old parts then belong to me
When I received the cell back I was told that the back cover, battery, speaker, system connector, top cover, bottom cover and lens has been replaced. none of my old parts were returned to me as I requested.
There was a lot of unnecessary repairs done.
