I contacted FNB regarding my phone that I purchased online requesting assistance with the fact that the phone was not working. I was told that they will email me my invoice which I must take together with the phone to C. Cell so that they can repair teh phone. I was told that it would take 24 to 48 hours to send me the invoice and this was on the 27 March. I did not receive the invoice and after numerous attempts to get the invoice, I finally received it on the 10 April after logging a complaint.
I then took the phone and invoice to Cell C who sent it off to be repaired. I then received an SMS stating that there is a cost of R425.00 to repair the phone as the phone is out of warranty. The warranty lapsed on the 2 April. i refuse to pay for the repairs as the reason the phone only got to Cell C after the warranty expired was because FNB did not send me the invoice within the turn around time as promised.
I have queried this with FNB and they says that the phone is out of warranty and they will not pay for the repairs.
I think this is terrible service all round from FNB.
