Migration of a Cellphone Contaract

I Took out a contract With Mtn for R199 with a Sony Experia M at Mtn Bank City almost 3 weeks back and the phone switched off EVERYTIME I played the radio, took it back and a day later I received another handset (same make) It gave the same problem and I took it back. I was told that since they will be migrating my contract or increasing my credit limit it would take about 3 working days which ended on the 2nd Dec 2013 and the request was submitted on the 27th November.
Today I was told that they take time to migrate... Why not tell me to wait 2 weeks max.instead of letting me go to the store all the time, My issue is why do I have to constantly go to the store to request feedback whereas they could contact the store and advise them that they are still working on my query? Clearly the must have a turnaround time NOTHING is ever open ended. This store will be closing down and the consultant helping me will be moving to Sandton, should I not receive my phone by then, I will have to go to Sandton to collect my phone, whenever that will be. Or cancel My contarct with this company at no cost to me as this is a factory fault. Mtn needs to stop selling this phone as they ALL have the same problem
