If you drop your phone you void your warranty

Telecommunications

I have a samsung galaxy S3 which I took out on contract from MTN June 2012. The phone was dropped about 3 months later (Cracked screen - August/September 2012) and still functioned normally, although the phone destroyed a 2GB memory card - a known issue: [URL Removed]

The phone stopped working last week thursday (Nov 21, 2013). It was immediate. So this appears to be a technical fault which is supposed to be covered by a 2 year warranty. And this appears to be another known issue: [URL Removed]

MTN said that my warranty is void since the phone was dropped and the screen cracked. This makes NO SENSE whatsoever, as the phone has been functioning for the past year (I have communications with a samsung approved repair centre to confirm enquiries made to repair the phone.)
It is unacceptable to continue to pay for a phone which they refuse to repair, and refuse to honour the warranty.
