It apparently takes a week to replace a battery

Telecommunications

Samsung issued a statement that some S4s (they even listed the serial numbers) batteries are bad, and should be replaced. My phone had such a battery, it started pushing the screen out (from swelling) and did generally weird unexpected stuff like restarting a lot. I took my phone to Vodacom, to get a replacement battery, which I didn't get, instead my data is being wiped to "see if the phone responds to the battery" (WHAT?!) and it has taken 4 days, counting today, to fix something that everybody knows about? What is so difficult about checking my serial number, seeing, oh yes ma'am your phone is affected, here is a new battery? Why does it need to take 4 days of not having a phone, so not being able to talk to customers and family (because let's face it, nobody's second hand or old phone takes a microsim) just to replace a battery. A power source, not software. Why does it need to be wiped? Who is going to pay for the data to replace all my lost stuff? Certainly not Vodacom.
I have to date not received any communication, except spammy requests for me to say how the service is, which is just as bad. Don't they know they still have my phone??? WTH!
