Terrible Service and Damaged Goods

Yesterday I went to upgrade my mobile phone at the Vodashop Mall @ Reds in Rooihuiskraal Centurion. I got the phone and when returned to my home and opened it up and removed it from the box, I noticed that it had a chip on the front right hand side next to the screen. I put it back in the box and promptly returned to the store to show the consultant the damage. The Assistant Manager promptly told me that it looked like I had dropped the phone and caused the damage. When I explained that I had not dropped the fone and had opened the box and found it like that, she refused to listen to me and said that the phone had to be sent to the Advanced Repair Centre for analysis. The Assistant Manager was rude and condescending and refused to hear my side of the story. The principle is that I am paying for a brand new phone and should receive a brand new phone and not a damaged one. I am now sitting without a properly functioning phone. I feel cheated by the managing staff and owner of Vodashop Mall @ Reds and will never do business with them again. I will advise people to exercise caution when doing business with them.
