After receiving my upgrade handset (a week late and only after I pushed for it), I requested a swim swap at 17h00 yesterday. I have now spent 3 hours on the phone to Vodacom trying to find out why this has not been done. The responses have been: when you wake up tomorrow the sim will be active, sim swap is active, swim swap has been cancelled, sim swap was done on the wrong number, speak to upgrades, speak to activations, speak to customer care and the best of all is "I will phone you back". End result, I now need to take another hour out of my time and actually go to a Vodacom shop and try and sort this out. I wonder how Vodacom will react when they receive an invoice for 4 hours of my time due to their absolute incompetence and lack of knowledge. If I treated my clients like this I would not have a business.
