I have been phoning Vodacom Legal (082 1905) for a week now trying to find out what the steps are to settle and close an account in the name of a deceased individual whose estate I have been appointed to administrate. I have phoned this number numerous times - the options are 1. Debt Collectors; 2. Arrear accounts; 3. Reinstatements; 4. Business Accounts; 9. Repeat options. At no point can you speak to someone. I have been given a 011 546 2400 number (that does not exist when dialled from my Vodacom cellphone) by call centre staff that sends me around and around. In the meanwhile, the account is accrueing at the cost of the beneficiaries. This is pathetic.
