I recently found out that I have a default under my name in the ITC,
courtesy of vodacom. The problem is I have never had any contract with
them. When I called I was asked to send a copy of my ID and an affidavit stating that, of
which I did, on the 1st of this month (November) already. Last week I spoke to a couple of people at the legal contact centre to check the progress on the query and was told that my case was sent to the department and it was being investigated. When I asked how long it was going to take they just told me they did not know and that I just had to wait. This Monday I eventually got hold of a guy in the ' analysis' department who was keen to assist. The problem is the time lines he mentioned (maybe 4 weeks) to probably have this issue resolved are way too much as I am currently in the middle of a home finance application and cannot wait that long.
