NEED ASSISTANCE PLEASE

Good day,

I signed up for a new iPhone 5s contract recently. The cellphone was delivered but with the incorrect sim card. I went to a local MTN store, the lady was very helpful and even called the call centre but I could not be helped. The guy at the call centre recommended that I buy the nano sim and that I should fax through a proof of payment to MTN direct for a refund. I considered doing same but decided against it because MTN should have ensured that they post all the correct material. I then called the call centre again to try and locate the guy who assisted me but to no success. The lady who answered at the call centre then advised me that the system shows that my application is terminate. I am now really frustrated because I am sitting here with a new cellphone which I cannot use. With this being said, I am sure that MTN will be sending me a pro-rata bill for this month which i refuse to pay as I have not used the phone nor the sim card. I am not blaming anyone but all I am asking is for assistance herein and a way forward to how I can get a new sim card. I have not heard anything from MTN as yet and I cannot call the whole time!!!
