BILLED FOR AN ACCOUNT OR PHONE THAT DOES NOT EXIST

I had applied for a contract with MTN Wonderboom Juction and on the day of collecting the phone I was mistreated by the assistant named Samantha and before the phone could be handed over to me I requested that the contrct be cancelled as I did not appreciate SAmantha's attitude.

I was advised that the contract has been cancelled and will not be debited for this. But to my suprise yesterday I received from MTN of R154.83 and this morning I received an sms from my bank that the R154.83 has been debited from my account. I then called the customer service and have been advised tha there is nothing that they can do except lodge a complaint.

Is it lawful for a service provider o debit my account for a non existent account / contract, I do not have a contract with MTN and on their system is shows that am on prepaid but they go ahead and bill me then debit my account.

I want an explanation for this and DEMAND for my cash to be credited back to my acoount where it was taken from.
