R25000 for 500Mb data???

I received an SMS yesterday stating my account had been suspended because I had exceeded R3900. I immediately logged onto MTN Active and saw that I had an unbilled balance of R25000 for 500MB data. On phoning the call centre I was told that they could only do something after the billing period closed on 7th December and I should call again after that. A Second call to the centre and I was told the same thing. Email to customer care and complaints on MTN active also had no reply. This is an blatant mistake. 500MB data does not cost R25000! Why should I have to wait until the 7th December to phone the call centre again for MTN to sort this out. I am also suspended from making outgoing calls.
None of this is my fault and I just want the matter sorted out.
