In June 2012 I purchased a Cell C data bundle for my iPad it was 3GB of data valid for 365 days. as the promotion came with a standard sim card I was advised that I needed to purchase a micro sim card and do a sim swap. I did this at Cavendish Cell C and was assisted by a gentleman who appeared to be the manager and assured me that he had done this several times. he loaded all the data and set up the sims. in or about December 2012 while on holiday I noticed that my iPad was not connecting to the network. because of the area that I was in that had signal problems I assumed it was because of that.

When I returned to Cape Town I continued to have the problem and thought it may be an issue with the iPad. Before taking it to the iStore I checked with Cell C in Canal walk and was told that the sim card had not been loaded as a data card but as a prepaid card and that as I had not loaded airtime onto the card the line had been deactivated. This is a fault from Cell C that they fail to rectify and despite numerous attempts to get them to reply to me via e-mail and messages they have simply ignored me. this is grossly dishonest by them no attempt has been made to rectify their mistake.
