Think twice before considering Afrihost

I moved from MWeb to Afrihost two months ago. At first the service from Afrihost was very good and I was impressed. The first problem I got with slow speeds in terms of ADSL were resolved by refreshing the line. Suddenly the service I get dropped dramatically. My internet speed dropped. I cannot listen to internet radio stations or watch youtube videos, because it is interrupted frequently. Download of software, etc. programs also takes forever and this is with a 4mbps line. I lodge a ticket with them only to be told to do a string of tests, which does not work. Then, even their application where you can fix your line through there client zone does not work, since it gives errors all the time. Yesterday, I e-mailed asking them to just refresh the line again, but they insist in all the tests being done. Frankly, I got better service from MWeb in terms of fixing my internet problems.

So, please do not be fooled by the best ISP service award they got. They are not that good. They are very good in setting you up, but when there is problems you are stuck and there internet speeds are the same as any other ISP, when it is working properly.

Could anyone tell me which ISP is reliable.
