I took out a R99 2gig data contract on 23oct. I asked for my debit order date to be 22nd. I asked if the line could be capped to which I was informed it could not, however I will receive sms notifications regarding my usage, to which I received no notifications. I was shocked to find out my limit has been reached on 28 oct with my account debited with R28.74. I had only started using my data on 24 oct with barely any usage. I went into a customer care branch to which i was informed my account is owing R604!!! Where did this amount come from when i pulled out my sim immediately when i checked online that my limit had been reached. I was also informed that my cap was set at the default of R3000 and that my account can be set at a cap of R100. I was advised to go back to Clearwater mall vodacom where i took out my contract and speak to the manager. I do not have time to run around for the mistakes and incorrect advise of incompetent staff. I trust vodacom will treat this matter with urgency as you may loose a loyal customer of 12 years.
