MYGIG2 CONTRACT NOT CAPPED BEWARE

My account number is I0603429-5 cell phone number 0795166662. I renewed my data contract with Vodacom in May 2012 to a MyGig2 contract as it was due for upgrade. My problems began in the first week of August 2012, if I am not mistaken on the 6th August 2012. I received a call from Vodacom informing me that my proposed bill is standing at about R8900-00 due to heavy usage on the 31st July 2012. I did not agree to this initially as to my knowledge I purchased a contract for 2gigs normal usage and 2gigs niteowl surfing, and to my knowledge at that time I understood this to mean that once the 2gigs has been used up, the system would block me. I had never been informed at any stage by Vodacom that I need to set a limit for my data usage over and above the 2gigs and that I need to log of and log back in to my connection for its systems to block any usage once the limit has been reached. Despite the fact that I was never informed that the data contract is not capped and that I needed to set a limit and log in and out for the system to determine my usage and activate the block, I advised Vodacom's legal department
