Charged a termination fee for cancelling

I just received my last Telkom Mobile invoice and they charged me a termination fee for cancelling my contract on the expiry date. I have given them the 30 days notice as required before the expiry that I do not want to continue with the contract, and still the termination fee was charged
Had to spend 15 minutes on the phone with their customer care just for a case to be logged (#7093271).
This is totally unacceptable.
