Requested new number not termination of contract

I have a contract with Heita mobile (telkom mobile). After a year of bad coverage and many missed and dropped calls, I requested if Heita could release my number which I had ported to them. I would than carry on with the balance of the contract period with a Heita number. I have all the documents Heita printed of the request.

Instead they have terminated my contract and want to charge a termination fee. I am unable to use the contract since October 2012 till now.
Staff at Soutgate Mall branch including the manager cannot resolve this. They keep requesting to whoever that they reinstate my contract, but this never happens. They do not get back to me either.

Five months of the contract period has passed without me getting any airtime, they have not been billing me monthly either. They want me to pay a termination fee instead.

Bottom line I did not ask for a termination of my contract instead to carry on with a number of theirs, and have my ported number back to take to a more reliable network.
