No data bundle, lost Loyalty points

A week I ago I used MTN Loyalty points to load a data bundle onto my MTN contract. I received an SMS confirming the transaction, but when querying the data balance nothing had changed. After 24 hours, I phoned the Call Centre to query it and was told someone will investigate & rectify. Another 24 hours later, nothing and so I phoned the Call Centre again. They said the query had been passed to their technical dept to resolve and it would take at least another 2-3days (??!!!). However their system does reflect the transaction (reduced loyalty points and data bundle requested).
So I am left with the choice of paying for an extra data bundle or to stop using data all together for the next week (when I need it for work) until the new month's data is added.
(BTW I tried to logon to MTN Active to check my account status, but MTN have changed this and contract holders have to re-register. After going through the re-registration & email verification process twice (error received on first attempt), I attempted to logon but had to enter an OTP, which never arrived AFTER 2 ATTEMPTS!)
