I phoned the MTN Retentions Department last month, end of September 2013, to find out if they have any special deals for me since I've been a loyal customer since 1994 . The Consultant I spoke to then told me that I can phone them the following month because then I'm due for upgrade and will be able to help me then.
So I phoned and got put through to Retentions, spoke to Danny Botha on the 28th October 2013, He said he would send me a list of phones, which I received but could not decipher as it was in a format unknown to my computer. As my upgrade is due tomorrow, 1st of November 2013 I called again only to be placed on hold for 20 minutes listening to their 1980s porno music. I have six contracts with MTN.

So it seems like I will have to migrate to Vodacom or Cell C as my business doesn't mean anything to them.
