Ripped off by cell c and no feedback

Visited Canal walk branch in September to give notice on my data contract. Advised by consultant to call into cell c on 1 October to cancel the 1GB data bundle as if I cancelled it before I would be charged. As instructed, i called in on 1 October and cancelled this extra data bundle. Received account on 18 October showing that I was going to be charged for October even though I had cancelled it. Immediately called cell C customer service to query, when I was told "Oh no, you should have cancelled this before 1 October". Matter was escalated and I was given reference number. I have been calling them since (about 5 times) to query feedback with no luck. Held on the phone for 26 minutes this morning, only to be told I would have to go into Canal Walk as it was their fault. Completely unacceptable to a I must suffer and be out of pocket because of their staff's incompetence!!!
