For the second time this month our telephone's have not working. The first time had something to do with a change over of Telkom equipment or systems which resulted with us not having phones for three days. Thousands of Rand's of lost income and we get a credit of R49.11 ex vat. Today the lines were down for what ever reason for about three hours. I phoned to report this and asked to Telkom to check all our numbers. First get told I would have to send a email with all the numbers. Would work if you have a working telephone line. Then get told that I would have to phone in for each and every number that I want to report. What a great system Telkom has. Anyway got them to check the lines. Only to find out that two of our lines have a nice voice message from a lady who says " The number you have dialed does not exist". Fancy that paying R657.02 ex vat per month for something that does not exist. I was told by an independent PABX supplier that we have more than likely been paying for this non existing service since we moved our office's two years ago. He said don't hold you breath if you are going to request a refund from Telkom. Lets see what happens next
