I am a new client of Telkom, i went into the store about 2 weeks ago to install a voice and data line.
The package i took included free installation, the technician came out last week to switch the modem on that is all, i dont know what installation they refer to as i had to call the call centre several times, on average i wait about 30minutes to speak to a consultant, the first 2 attempts were unsuccessful not sure if it was a competency issue, the third attempt i was lucky. The package i got was uncapped ADSL on a 1meg line, i started downloading only to find out that the data speeds are nowhere close to a 1meg line, to be honest it is actually pathetic, the speeds are under 10kb per second, it took me 2 full days, overnight to download 4 episodes. Come on guys the least you can do is follow up to make sure you promised what you sold a client.
i called again today to follow up on where they are with my query and they cant tell me when a technician can come out to resolve. Please can you guys come pick up your modem and take it back as i dont want this pathetic service or silly contract, i can only imagine if my phone line goes down what turnaround times you guys have.
