Fine Print

My cellphone suddenly started giving me a message "sos calls only" so i had to take the sim out and use my daughters cell phone. I didnt want to loose her Sim so i put it in my cell for safe keeping, as the cell wasnt in working order. I have a 6 mth old at home and didnt have time to take it immediately for repairs. I sent it in recently, and now they call to say the claim has been turned down because i took the cell c sim out. I mean really... i needed to use my contract sim card, which cost me anything from R600 to R1200 a month, so clearly i was using the contract. When i explained that the phone was broken, i could use another sim to make calls it was there for safe keeping, all the lady could keep pointing out is the terms and conditions... which i might add i am sure no one reads nowdays. So why do we even pay for cell cover if they are going to find every reason not to pay for the repairs of a phone... I am disgusted... after having cover for so many years and never ever claiming, and now when i do claim i get such a response. I cant wait for my current contract to end so i can take my business elsewhere...
