Absolutely ridiculous Response from Cell C

Hi

I'm annoyed, frustrated and really angry with Cell C. I have had a contract with them for at least 8 years. My last contract was a Samsung Galaxy S i9000 for R280 a month which included an insurance cover which extended the phones warranty to 24 months. The contract started on the 13 Jan 2011 and finished on 13 Jan 2013.

Two weeks before my contract finished, I had been experiencing problems with the phone and the battery swelled to almost twice the normal size. I found out that this could be very dangerous and could cause the phone to explode therefore I sent in the phone in for repairs. So while still in my contract I sent my phone for repairs knowing that the cost will be covered by the warranty or insurance.

I paid my Cell C contract every month and on time from the very 1st month to the very last month of the contract. So if I have a incident or a problem on the 1st week or the very last week of my contract, AM I NOT ENTITLED TO BE FULLY COVERED?

The quote to repair the problem is almost R3000. So, I've paid my contract on time for the last 8 years without making a single claim and the one time I do have a problem they refuse to cover the cost. Absolutely ridiculous.
