I have a Telkom ADSL line which is supposed to be a 2Mbps line. In the past month or so I have had to call the call centre at least 10 times to log complaints due to the line being extremely slow (256KBps on ave). The call has been escalated on a number of occasions and in some cases on attempting to fix the line they have rendered it unusable and I would then have to call again to report a faulty line as it is apparently a different department! At present they have been unable to resolve the query and the line is still synching at 256KBps. The worst part is that no one person deals with the query so I speak to a whole lot of different people from Telkom each day none of which have the history of the problems and I land up explaining it to them from scratch. If Telkom cannot sort the problem out why do they install a 2 MB line when they know it cannot deliver those speeds?
