Broken Promises with no communication forthcoming

Went in to upgrade my Contract. Selected a phone and increase the value of my contract amount. Was told that the phone would take 4 days for delivery. After waiting 5 "working" days, placed a call.and was told that it had not been delivered yet. Two days later, phoned again, Still not luck. Was just informed that the phone is on "Back Order" and the delivery date is unknown What kind of service is this. I have done all the communications after providing allowing ample time for them to provide an ETA I was even informed to come and change my choice of phone. Why is this only done after I have spent time and money trying to find out what the status is. I am now debating if I should not cancel my Vodacom account and rather go to another Cellular provider.
