From Pre-paid to Contract

I've just read the complaint by Christopher. I have the exact problem. I received a call from a lady - 2 weeks ago. I just switched off when I confirmed with her that the reason for her call was iro a contract service - in particular, Top-Up 49. My response to that was that I did not want a contract at all. I would, normally, take down the person's name, but because I wasn't interested, I did not.

I received 2 sms' on Thursday, the 24th: 1 saying that the conversion to contract is now complete and the 2nd that Vodacom welcomes me. Even though the welcome is from Vodacom, they cannot cancel the contract - you have to contact RMCS yourself. This has been a fruitless exercise as no one picks up on the other side. My question is also, where do they get one's personal information from, as I do not have ANY clothing accounts and haven't had for years.

I DON'T want a contract as I am perfectly happy with my use of my pre-paid account thus far and have NO intention to change that.

A response from the RMCS would be appreciated.
