I have a Internet Promo 5 24 month contract with 8ta. I ran out of data in August and purchased a R349, 5GB data bundle on-line. I utilised approximately 1.7 GB of the bundle and then my contracted 10GB bundle renewed. It indicated the 3.3GB as Purchased data bundle remaining in my self service pageon the internet. I however did not use the 3.3GB purchased data in September. When it rolled over into October the 3.3GB disappeared. Upon enquiry with 8ta help-desk I was informed that there is an expiry time. How can data expire??? I payed for something and have not used it. It is like buying 5 litres of petrol for my lawn mower and using 1.7 litres. After a month the remaining 3.3 litres just vanished??? 8ta... you unlawfully took my data and robbed me of my money. I expect my data to be returned as additional data soonest or a credit to the value calculated per MB remaining, refunded into my account which you debited to purchase the 5 GB. There is no indication nor an explanation by the operator when you buy the data about any expiry period... DATA or MONEY... you choose
