MTN - I will NEVER take another contract with you!

About two months ago i was painting my house, i sent a sms and put my phone on the counter to go paint. i returned about two hours later to check for a reply. My phone was dead. i swopped the battery with the spare that was on charge. Still nothing. Phone was dropped of a MTN Beacon Bay East London on about the 3rd of September for it to be seen to. Three weeks went by with no call from MTN.. so i called them to see whats happening. My phone had be sent back to Beacon Bay MTN with the note "BER" Beyond economical repair. When i queried what the issue was i was told ' it was owner abuse that cause a piece of the mother board to chip' i find this explination rather confusing... as the phone gave no issues prior to this problem and was not dropped... so did the piece of the board just jump out by its self??? i took the phone to a local cell shop for a second opinion. He claims mine is not the 1st with this exact issue.. and was busy repairing one at that time. Due to mine being under contract he advised me not to have it opened, but to take it back to the agents. I DO NOT EXCEPT MTN's PATHETIC SERVICES OR EXCUSES ANY MORE. I WILL NOT GO AWAY UNTIL THIS IS RESOLVED!!
