I opened a contract two months ago at the Somerset west branch, opting for a Sony Xperia Go. (Also got the same phone for my mother in law, but at MTN direct). Two months down the line the battery start failing, both phones within 3 weeks of each other. Mother in law takes hers to MTN, gets a new phone after TWO days. Verdict, known battery issues with the specific phone. I take mine in to Nashua, 10 days later no one knows what was done, but, the service centre claims that they replaced a NON REPLACEABLE battery (still waterproof??? does Sony know what they are doing to their product???) Also they claim that since they left the phone on for 6 hours and there was only 6% battery drain, that the problem is now fixed.
During the 10 days, I cannot reach Nashua Somerset wEst by phone as their menu system goes in circles and is so soft you cannot hear the options. Further, even though I was given a reference number for the repair, there is zero contact details to follow up on the repair, another black hole of communication. I will be visiting the store on Saturday to close/cancel the contract and report product abuse to the manufacturer.
