2, 5 Months later, still no Internet (Telkom)

I applied for a new ADSL line more than two months ago. After a month of waiting, the line was installed and 2 weeks later the line was migrated. However, something went wrong as I can't connect to the internet.

I've spoken to about 10 people at Telkom, each one with a different solution - it seems that nobody knows what's going on. One person even wanted to charge me an extra R750 for nothing. As far as I can tell, there must be physically something wrong, as I've tested my modem and router and it works. So, after the umpteenth trip to the Telkom store in Tyger Valley on Saturday (05/10/2013), I was told that there is a 3 day backlog before a technician can come out.

It's now the 11th of October, still no technician, still no internet. I phoned Telkom again, got a different response AGAIN and apparently my fault was escalated. Escalated to where?

At the moment I'm paying for a service that is not being rendered to me and I am utterly fed up with waiting. First stop, Hello Peter. Next stop, lawyers...
