Unfair ITC listing - no feedback

After renewing our MTN contract for the past 8 years. We decided to change the contract to a pre-paid. The contract expirec in April and we went to MTN Riverside mall to cancell. They gave us a phone number to call and we could not get through. The number closed at 17:00 and my husband works at a mine and there is no signal during the day for him to phone out, so our only option was after 5, which did not help. After numerous visits to the mtn cell shop, we had no luck. We decided to not pay the account until someone phoned us. For 3 months months we did not pay, which was just over R900. On the 12th August we managed to close the contract and paid an amount of R1050.00 and lost over R3000 in credit on the contract as it could not be carried over to pre-paid. We visit our bank for personal reasons and we were informed that MTN has listed us on ITC in June already. I phoned MTN legal department on the 3, 7 and 8 of October trying to get a letter stating that the account has been paid up and will be removed from ITC. I am still waiting for confirmation!!!
