I phoned Cell C on the 2nd of August 2013 and asked to settle my account with them and that i will also not be renewing my contract. The lady gave me a settlement amount of R379.73, which i paid that same day. Then i received a new statement on the 28th of September, stating that i still owed R20.27. I phoned in again and was told the account was never closed and i should pay another R230.00 and then they will cancell the contract, which i did on the 11th of October 2013. Busisiwe also assured me that everything was settled now and that they would close the account. I have just received a new account for the month of Nov/Dec 2013, in which i owe R390.27!!!
The account is still not closed! I have not renewed my contract with them. I have all the relevant documentation. All the e-mail correspondence, payments and statements. I asked for a letter stating that the matter is dealt with and that the contract is closed, that was on the 5th of November 2013, still waiting. When is this going to be sorted out? I will never be doing business with Cell C again. They are the most unprofessional company i have ever come across.
