Faulty Handset no assistance received from Supplie

My son took a new contract (previously with Vodacom) with Cell C, and received his Blackberry . after a few months the phone started giving trouble with constant rebooting. We were told it needed a software upgrade, or a new battery. Eventually after weeks of frustration with the phone rebooting I handed the phone in for repair. 2 weeks later I am told that I need to buy a new handset as it cannot be repaired. Strangely enough 2 other people with the same model phone had exactly the same issue. I cannot accept that I have to buy a new handset as well as pay for the existing troublesome phone. I find Cell C's attitude towards a longtime customer (I have been with them for in excess of 7 years) disgusting. I am stuck now as I am unable to cancel my contract with them (3 phones) despite the fact that I am unhappy with the treatment received. I was unable to get any contact details for management to escalate this problem to, and was constantly told to email repairs or the customer service email. Their response is an emphatic - HANDSET NEEDS TO BE REPLACED by myself.
