Ridiculous Migration fee rather than 7 day return

I upgraded my phone on 20 September and was told that if I am unhappy within 7 days I could return and they would help me change the handset or package I chose. I returned today, and was told because there is nothing wrong with the phone, they cannot do the reversal. however, another branch in Nelspruit told me that a reversal can be done. We called the upgrades call centre, and one consultant told me that I must do a migration, and the second the I called another consultant told me I can do a reversal. I am now at the end of my 7 days and would not be able to reverse anything anymore because they are unable to help. If I do a migration they want me t pay a ridiculous R1000. What for??? I was on a Top-up 200 and changed to a Smart M package. I want to return to the Top-up 200, and if I have to return the handset I will, like I was told. But I have to pay this ridiculous amount of R1000...
I've been with Vodacom for several years, and now they want to get nasty!!
