After being a cutomer at Cell C for more than 10 yrs I have had enough of their poor service.

I applied for an upgrade on 23 Sept and was informed delivery will take 7 days. On 27 Sept I phoned to inform them we are going away for the weekend and they mustn't deliver before the 30th. I was informed that my upgrade was declined due to arrears of R690. As I confirmed my account was paid in full and in time I was requested to submit proof of payment, which I did immediately.

On 30 Sept I phoned to confirm all is in order, aparently they did not recieve my proof of payment. I resubmitted immediately once again.

On 3 Oct my phone is blocked, aparently I am in arrears for R143. Now which one is it R690/R143. Well after being back and forth on the Cell C call centre lines for 2 and a half hours without any explanation or sollution, I cancelled my contract as I am no longer willing to spend another 10 years being loyal to a company who cannot render proper customer service.

Luckily ther is a lot of cell phone providers out there.
