I phoned the call centre this morning in regards to query I had on my account. Long story short, I made a deposit to Vodacom Directly on the 27th of Sept to rectify the instalment that was behind, yet on the 30th of Sept the full amount was deducted via debit order anyway. So I explained it to the lady (can't recall her name, and whom doesn't let you talk before trying to talk over you). This was when I started losing my cool, I was told that eventhough I had made payment for the late amount I was suppose to let them know so that they don't run the full debit order and that money is now a credit on their side. Now pardon my ignorance but really?
I recieved an SMS from Vodacom 5 MIN after making the initial deposit stating " Vodacom: Thank you for your payment. your Payment will be processed and services will be reinstated today if locked due to account in arrears. There is no need to call us back or to fax a payment confirmation", so clearly automated as the 27th was a Sunday. So why debit full amount? Then i say I am cancelling my contract and I get threathened with 75% I'm liable for on early cancelatation?! 12 Years I've been with you yet no longer, pathetic arrogant service
