We made a booking with Telkom on 17 September that our line would be deactivated at our old home address on the 25th of September and re-activated at the new address on the 27th of September. On the 30th when nothing had been done as yet I called the 10210 number, I first went through to the incorrect department and the lady who assisted me told me that our number was still active at the old address and there was a booking made for the end of October at the new address, but she would bring it forward to the the 9th of October. She then told me she would put me though to the relevant department. I then spoke to Evelyn who was most helpful and on looking into her system clarified that yes there was a booking made for a deactivation on the 25th and activations on the 27th and that she would escalate it to the relevant people who would call on my cell phone. Today the 2nd of October, in true Telkom style I have had no response. I called the 10210 number again and held for 10min when I eventually reached somebody who kept making me hold and then cut me off. I then called again only to hold for another 10minutes, when I reached somebody I was again cut off. Not acceptable!!!
