Overbilling and staff acknowledging incorrect sms

I am being charged 2000 rands for Data usage by Vodacom during Month of Decemeber and the same during January. According to Vodacom my data bundles had expired on 17/12/2012 and all usage afterwards was charged out of bundle. However, exactly on 18th I received a sms from Vodacom stating I had 2 GB worth of data left on my account. Further more I received another sms on 5/01/2012 stating that I had 941.3 MB data being carried over from month of December into January.

It is not making any sense to me why the billing tracked by Vodacom Data centre and sent to me on the sms are completely different.

Further when I inquired the staff member from vodacom regarding the sms'es he bluntely told me they are not real time and they don't mean anything.

I am being by vodacom and irony is no one will help.
